Joe Jackson has decided that there is “no justification” for him to be excluded from getting any money from Michael Jackson’s estate.
As a result he has now filed papers in L.A. County Superior Court, claiming he’s “entitled to his own independent family allowance.”
In the docs, Leonard Rowe, someone who claims to have been MJ’s manager, says Michael used to give his mother Katherine up to $60,000 a month to live on, and that Michael instructed her to give half of it to Joe.
Joe claims Michael’s estate has “earned more than $100 million dollars in the first seven weeks following Michael Jackson’s death” and is “well able to afford a family allowance for Joe Jackson.”
Joe says he has $15,425 in total monthly expenses, including the following:
– $2,500 eating out
– $2,000 for air travel
– $3,000 for hotel bills
– $1,000 for groceries
– $1,200 for rent
– $50 in charitable contributions

Product Description |
It's hard not to watch This Is It without feeling a mixture of sorrow and elation. When he passed away in the summer of 2009, Michael Jackson was in the midst of rehearsals for his final tour, an ambitious 50-date engagement. In editing 120 hours of rehearsal footage together, Jackson producer Kenny Ortega proves that it would've been an event for the ages. Michael performs material that spans his career, from a Motown medley to multi-platinum hits from Off the Wall, Thriller, and Bad. Though he hadn't toured in 10 years, it becomes instantly apparent, despite rumors to the contrary, that Jackson was still in full possession of that unmistakable voice--high-pitched whoops and all--and that he still had the gravity-defying moves of a man half his age. Jackson and Ortega also collaborated on some real showstoppers, such as a graveyard-set "Thriller"; an imposing "They Don't Care About Us," in which several dancers appear to morph into thousands; and a film noir sequence in which the singer slides in and out of Gilda and other black-and-white classics, singing "Smooth Criminal" all the while. Not everything works, like the Jackson 5 numbers, in which he flubs a few lyrics, claiming that his earpiece isn't working properly, but as he readily acknowledges, "That's what rehearsal is for." It's a tragedy that he didn't get the chance to share this dazzling show with the world, but Ortega allows fans to feel as if it actually happened--at least onscreen. --Kathleen C. When I first heard that This Is It was going to be made into a movie, I was estatic! I counted down the days of the release and bought my ticket 2 months in advance and waited in line to get into the theatre and it was worth the wait! This Is It is probably the most extroidinary concernt documentary that anyone could ever create! When Michael Jackson died on June 25th, the world stopped turning for 24 hours and a part of it died with him. This is by FAR the best DVD to ever come out of 2010 and I recommend it to anyone who loves Michael and i'm sure by now every single of of Michael Jacksons TRUE fans have this DVD.
In the This Is It DVD, Michael is not portrayed as a fragile, sick, old man the media made him out to be. You see him smiling, dancing, joking, having so much fun being back where he feels at home the most. You can tell he could not wait to show the entire world his greatest creation EVER! He is totally like a kid again, giddy with excitement and you can see that come out in every dance step that he takes. From the start of Wanna Be Startin Somethin' to Man In The Mirror, you will be glued to this DVD and to Michael as he reherses for his final concernt that the world never got to see LIVE. |
