Rihanna Back On Stage After Assault

Pop star Rihanna has performed her first solo gig since being attacked by ex boyfriend Chris Brown – and she chose London as the place to do it.

The 21-year-old took to the stage at the Brixton Academy where she played material from her much anticipated new album Rated R.

She wrote the collection in the aftermath of the assault by Brown in February which left her badly bruised.

Rihanna had some moral support during the gig – hip hop star Jay Z made a surprise appearance in the show’s finale.

The pair performed a duet of her hit song Umbrella and Run This Town.

US rapper Young Jeezy also joined her on stage for new track Hard.

Rihanna Takes “Back-On-Top Superstar” Award

Rihanna accepted the award for “Back-On-Top Superstar” at Glamour magazine’s Women of the Year Awards on Monday.

The singer and fashion icon wore a stunning ivory colored gown by Stephane Rolland.

She received her award for her courage and positive attitude through her recent experiences. (Rihanna was assaulted by former boyfriend Chris Brown in February)

Her new album, Rated R, is due for release on November the 23rd this year.
