Simon Cowell Now Highest Paid Man On US Television

50 year old Brit Simon Cowell is officially the highest paid man on prime time US television, according to Forbes magazine.
He came out top of the list of top earners pulling in a massive $75 million in just 12 months with his American Idol show raking in big bucks and enjoying record ratings.
Even the mighty Donald Trump is left well behind in second place with his TV projects, including the Apprentice franchise, which saw him take home $50 million.
American Idol strike again for third place Ryan Seacrest, who hosts the show. He brought in $38 million. Alongside his regular Idol job, Seacrest fronts E! News, a regular radio show, red-carpet events and Disney’s annual New Year’s Eve’s spectacular.
The most popular sitcoms in the US accounts for positions 4 and 5, with Charlie Sheen pulling in $21 million for his role in the hugely popular Two and a Half Men. Then Steve Carell took home $20 million for his role in the US version of the hit British comedy The Office.
