2010 Golden Globes To Be Hosted By Ricky Gervais

There has been no host for the Golden Globes since 1995. Ricky Gervais is now set to change things and be the host for the 67th annual Golden Globes Awards on NBC
Ricky Gervais is a Golden Globe and Emmy winner, best known for his starring role in the original, British version of The Office. He also recently co-starred with Jennifer Garner in The Invention of Lying, which he also co-directed.
Ricky said: “Not only is this the biggest Hollywood celebration of the industry which includes both film and TV, but also an environment where I feel I can get free reign as a host. I have resisted many other offers like this, but there are just some things you don’t turn down.”
Personally I think that a few people will be wishing that he had turned down this role. I have never rated him well as a host, or as a comedian for that matter.
The Golden Globe nominees are due to be announced Tuesday, Dec. 15
The Golden Globe Awards will be held on January the 17th 2010 and will set the stage for the Academy Awards, which will be aired on March the 7th 2010.
