Britney Spears: Lip-Synching Causing Fans To Walk Out?
Britney Spears is very upset over all the fuss caused by her lip-synching at a concert of her “Circus” tour, according to her promoter Paul Dainty.
Spears had heard reports of fans walking out of her show in Perth on Friday.
The show which had tickets on sale for up to $1,300 is reported as having fans talk with their feet by walking out by as early as the third song.
Spears manager has said that 20,000 Britney fans cannot be wrong.
It would seem that one journalist in Perth gave reports of fans walking out in disgust. Journalist Rebekah Devlin said: “I personally spoke with 25 people who left, some as early as the third song, and while I was speaking to disgruntled fans, more and more people walked past.”
The Fair Trade Minister for the state of New South Wales got the ball rolling by saying Australians would not tolerate a “Mickey Mouse” performance by Spears.
Virginia Judge suggested concert tickets should carry disclaimers about whether parts of concerts were pre-recorded and mimed.
It is well known that 27-year-old Spears mimes as she dances in her circus-themed show, says the Australian promoter of her tour, Paul Dainty.
“It’s been all over the internet for nine months. This show is about an incredible spectacle, which it is,” he told The Australian.
Despite some journalist giving her a bit of bad press it should be noted that thousands of fans flooded Twitter and Spears’ personal website to congratulate her on her comeback, describing her Perth performances as “amazing”, “awesome” and “brilliant”.
